No.1 Groudle Glen is a Victorian terrace house in a beautiful canalside location in Charlestown,Hebden Bridge.
Hebden Bridge is an intoxicating mixture of the old and the new,the spiritual and the material.
Our cottage is less than a mile from the centre of Hebden Bridge-an easy 15 minute walk along the canalside.Buses stop outside the front of the house for easy travel to Hebden Bridge,Todmorden and beyond.
It has a charming period look to the outside,with a modern contemporary interior incorporating all that you'll need for a great holiday.
The cottage can sleep up to 6 people in 2 bedrooms plus a bed-settee downstairs (no more than 4 adults at a time ).
The master bedrom has superb views along the canal,with its resident geese, and to the woods opposite.
Features include gas central heating,satellite TV,DVD player,large bathroom with separate shower and bath,dishwasher,washing machine and microwave.
Outside is a South facing terrace,yards from the canal with lovely views across to the woods.
Staying in the '4th funkiest town in the world' ,you will find a multitude of attractions- from boutique shops to artists' galleries,local crafts and jewellery shops,the antique centre and restaurants and traditional pubs.Its thriving cultural scene attracts visitors from all over the world.
Walkers and cyclists are well catered for with areas including Hardcastle Craggs,local woodland walks and the Mary Towneley loop.The Pennine way is less than half a mile from the cottage.
